Topo is a city in the council of Calheta, which is located in the Northern coast of the São Jorge Island, in the Azores Archipelago, Portugal.
Topo is a historical city, which was inhabited in 1480 by the Flemish Willem Van der Haghe. Currently, on its vicinity you can still see the vineyard cultivation, sharing the space with great maize fields and vegetable garden.
This is the third most important city of the island, after Velas and Calheta. In its heart, it is worth visiting the Igreja del Rosario Church, dating from the 18th century, whose façade stands out the stunted tower which hosts Baroque popular carvings tower; the São Francisco Convent, from which only stand out its temple, and its beautiful port.
