The Igreja de São Salvador de Bravães Church, mother church of Bravães, is an enchanting Romanesque 12th century church which is located 4 kilometres from Ponte da Barca, in the North of Portugal.
Its western portico shows a decoration consisting of engravings of animals, birds and human figures – the reason why it is considered as one of the most important Romanesque monuments of the country.
