Kayaking along the Nabão River
The city, divided by the river, offers many exciting activities such as kayaking. Some companies offer kayaking trip to Constância or to the Castle of Almourol. Prices are around 15€ per person.
The city has a good network of sports infrastructures, such as a town swimming pool, football arena, and a great sports complex.
Besides all that, around 13 kilometers to the southeast of Tomar, you will find a dam with the water deposit for the Castle of Bode. The water is from the Zêrere river, which follows the coast with a complex line and with many river-islands (the most famous the Lombo Island). This is an area rich in pines, river beaches, and marinas, fueling a growing touristic market.
