The Torre de São Paulo Tower, along with the Torre da Caldeia Velha Tower, are the only standing remains of the old Medieval walls of the population of Ponte de Lima.
These are battlemented towers with a rectangular floor, decorated with gargles on each side which are located at the end of the Rua Cardeal Saraiva Street.
On the side of the Torre de São Paulo Tower that faces the river, there is a tile panel of Cabras São Senhor!, allusive to a local story about Afonso Henriques and a flock of goats that he almost attacked because he mislead them with Moors. On the other hand, the Torre da Caldeia Velha Towers hosts a temporary exhibition room and an art gallery with free admission.
Close to them stands the Igreja Matriz de Ponte de Lima, dating mainly from the 15th century, with a beautiful Romanesque facade.
