The Santo António Grottoes are located 26 kilometres far from Fátima, in the Serras d'Aire y Candeeiros Natural Park, Leiria, Portugal.
These grottoes were discovered in 1955, next to the summit, at approximately 583 metres high, in Pedra do Altar Hill. At that time, they had to refurbish the place, for what they made a 40-metres-length tunnel.
It has three rooms, the main one has 4.000 m2 and is 43 metres high and a short gallery with pink formations, whileas there is a small lake on the second one.
Stalagmites create in here a forest where you will have the feeling of seeing sculpted statues.
