The Flores Museum is hosted in the Baroque Convent of São Boaventura, built up in 1641, in Santa Cruz das Flores, the capital city of Flores Island, Azores.
Its collection includes an Azores and American scrimshaw collection donated by J.A. Gomes Vieira, and another local ethnography collection.
The museum also has exhibitions dedicated to farming activities, local handicraft, fishing, sacred art, and the Holy Spirit devotions.
From its exhibitions stand out a submarine archaeological collection and the Slovenian packet boat plundering, which shipwrecked in 1909.
The temple where it is hosted, has a squared facade where the belfry is integrated, as well as a cedar roof painted with allegories and vegetal motifs. Its major altar dates back from the 16th century.
