Lajes Das Flores is one of the main cities in Flores Island, part of the Azores Archipelago, Portugal.
This city has a port, the Porto da Calheta Port, extended in 1992. It can be said that its lighthouse is part of the urban ensemble of the city, from which should be emphasized the Miradouro de Pedras Brancas Viewpoint.
In its vicinity it is possible to find numerous fãjas, perfect for hiking.
A good date to visit this village is during the third weekend of July, when the Festa do Emigrante take place
In the upper area of the city you will find several old houses with an império of 1846 and the Igreja Matriz do Rosário Mother Church, dating back from the 18th century. It has a facade covered in tiles, with an image considered to be the of the highest artistic level in the whole island.
From the Miradouro das Pedras Brancas Viewpoint you will see the city as well as the port.
