Jardim Botânico do Faial (Faial Botanic Garden) is located in the Quinta de São Lourenço manor, in the town of Flamengos, around 2 kilometres from Horta, in Faial Island, Azores, Portugal.
ith 8,000 square metres, this fantastic garden offers a real visit to the forests and flora from the Azores. The garden constantly strives to maintain the collection of species from the Azores and Macaronesia, which is -at the same time - a germoplasma bank.
The garden presents several collections, among them: a collection of plants endemic to the Azores, with almost 50 plants unique to the archipelago; a collection of healing and aromatic plants; another of decorative species with a orchidarium; and a arboretum.
We advise you to allot enough time for a relaxed visit.

Children under 12 years old do not pay admission fees.
Opening Hours:
Summer:
Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 19:00.
Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00.
Rest of the year:
Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 17:30.
