The Igreja de Santa Maria Church is located at the feet of the Marvão Castle, in Alentejo, Portugal.

This 13th century church is closed to worship and it hosts since 1987 the Municipal Museum, an interesting museum with archeology, epigraphy, ethnography, armory and sacred art.

Among the museum’s exhibitions stand out the Prehistoric piece known and “ïdolo place”.
