The Museum of Oferendas ao Soldado Desconhecido is hosted in the old refectory and the kitchen of the Monastery of Batalha, in the locality of Batalha.
This museum exhibits fascinating objects offered to the Unknown Soldier, just like I World War trophies and military awards.
Under the vault of the Monastery’s Sala do Capítulo Hall and enlightened by the “Homeland Fire”, is located the Soldado Desconhecido tomb (Unknown Soldier), permanently guarded by a honour guard.
