The Roman Site of da Luz is located in a marginal avenue of Villa da Luz, in Lagos, Algarve.
This ruins were discovered in the late 19th century by archeologist Estácio da Veiga, and provide an idea of the buildings that existed here: a spa with several rooms and paved floors with mosaics and an industrial complex constituted by tanks for salting fish.
Fragments of amphorae were also found, as well as Roman building materials, coins, and other valuable objects testifying roman heritage. It is believed that the site was built between the 1st and 3rd centuries, although altered and expanded towards the late 3rd and early 4th centuries.
