Adraga Beach, Sintra

The Adraga Beach is one of the most popular beaches by those who enjoy coming to Sintra’s litoral.

Besides its pure waters, the Adraga Beach has a wide sand extension allowing it to become a premium site for those who enjoy walking or practicing different sports.

At the Southern slope of this beach you might find the famous Judgement Rock, a rock which descends vertically to the sea. According to the legend, climbing and descending this rock was a way of the younger males proving their braveness.

At nearly 50 meters from the arriba you might find the Fojo, a deep well communicating with the sea.
