The Igreja da Misericórdia Church of Viseu was built in 1775 and features an exterior in Rococo style. The beautiful façade is balanced due to the contrast between the white walls and pilasters of granite.
The central body of the church, with a charming Baroque portico crowned by a balcony, ends in an elegant front. The twin bell towers and the portico enhance the symmetric character of the building.
The interior is Neoclassical in style and a little sober, contrasting with the espectacular façade. It houses a non-gilded polychromed carving.
