Mount of Nossa Senhora da Ajuda is located west of downtown Santa Cruz da Graciosa, capital of Graciosa Island, Azores, Portugal.
This mountain-lookout of 129 meters provides a nice panoramic view of Santa Cruz da Graciosa and the north of island.
It is guarded by three white chapels dedicated to Salvador (18th century), São João (16th century), and the most important, Senhora da Ajuda (late 15th century), which features a tower bell, battlements and a curved annex on the right building.
Next to the latter there used to stand a lookout for whales to where devotees from Santa Cruz ascend by a direct path, but also reachable by road (about 2 km).
