The Vilarinho das Furnas Ethnographic Museum was created by the old inhabitants of the extinct communitary town of Vilarinho das Furnas, which was under-watered after the construction of a dam in 1972.

This museum has fascinating collections of paintings, farming tools and customary clothes related to the city of Vilarinho das Furnas, as well as a great quantity of information about the flora, the fauna and the local trails.
