Capela de Santo Antonio (San Antonio Chapel) is located in República Avenue of Nazaré, facing the sea.
Built in 1861, the chapel was built with fishermen money, who gave 1% of their salaries as “money for the Saint”. The facade is completely sheathed with tiles portraying an image of San Antonio.
Su interior, de una única nave, cubierta por un techo de madera, y con paredes revestidas de un sillar de azulejos blancos y azules, alberga una capilla mayor donde exhibe la imagen de San Antonio.
Its one-nave inside hosts a major chapel, where the depiction of San Antonio is displayed. It has a wooden ceiling and walls sheathed with an ashlar made of white and blue tiles.
