The Museu dos Rios e das Artes Marítimas Museum reflects the importance the city of Constância had for centuries, since it allowed the natives to grow economically thanks to the fluvial transportations, naval constructions and fishing.
These activities left numerous scattered remains through the town, which were collected and are now studied and exhibited in this interesting museum.
The area of the museum is divided in three mains spaces, being the first one dedicated to fishing, the second to fluvial transportation and the last one to naval construction. Furthermore, it exists a little room which represents the annual festivity of Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem, the protector of the sailors. The museum also counts with a little library specialized in the topic.
