The Museu Municipal de Fotografía (Photography Museum of Elvas João Carpinteiro) is located in the former local cinema and shows an amazing collection of photographic cameras, where you can see a Vest Pocket of accordion pleats from 1912, being the oldest one in existance.

The museum also houses temporary exhibitions of photography.
