The Parque Megalítico dos Coureleiros (Coureleiros Megalithic Park) is made up of several menhirs located about 8 kilometres north to the city of Castelo de Vide in Alentejo, Portugal.
Dating back to the 4th and 3rd centuries B.C., these menhirs are divided into 4 groups relatively close to each other .
Anta I: Menhirs somewhat eroded. Three of the seven original granites making up the burial chamber are still visible. Here were found numerous archaeological remains, especially pottery, xisto plaques and arrowheads.
Anta 2 or Anta Grande dos Coureleiros: One of the largest megalithic monuments of Castelo de Vide. Even though nowadays it is a bit eroded, seven standing stones are visible.
Anta 3: It is believed that it was built in the Neolithic and Chalcolithic period. Today, it is quite destroyed.
Anta 4: It has a polygonal floor with more or less 3 metres in diameter and 2 meters high. It consisted of seven pillars, from which today only 3 are standing.
All these antas were qualified as Listed Building in 1997, excepting Anta 2, which is National Monument since 1910.
