Miradouro Pico de Ferro lookout is the most famous viewpoint over Lagoa de Furnas. This lookout is located about five kilometres from the town of Furnas, on the way to Ribeira Grande, and very close to the golf club, in São Miguel Island, Açores.
The lookout rests about 570 metres high, allowing you to get spectacular views of the town and the O-rei summit, as well as the sea. Pico do Ferro lookout is perfectly conditioned.
Nearby, you will find the Ermida de Nossa Senhora das Vitórias, Neo-Gothic in style; and several other viewpoints. This lookout is a stop in an excellent hiking trail in the district of Povoação.
