This Moinho de Papel (paper mill) is in the first known paper mill in Portugal and the oldest paper factory in the city. It is located in the left bank of the river Lis, near the city centre of Leiria. This is a museum focused on the traditional arts and crafts related to paper and cereal.
The aim of this museum is to preserve the memory and sociocultural heritage, including the milling of wheat, corn and rye grain, the manufacture of olive oil, and the production of paper.
Here you will be able to buy artisanal products elaborated in the old paper factory.
All guided visits must be arranged previously by email or telephone.
