This temple belonged to the Order of Santiago and was rebuilt several times during the first half of the 18th century. It afterwards became the chapel of the Governador e Capitão General do Algarve Palace.
It has a single nave and main chapel with an attached sacristy.
Currently, its interior houses three interesting reredos. It is also worth to take a look at the main chapel, in National style and golden carving with wooden statues.
