The Óbidos Municipal Museum is located in an ancestral house dating back to the XVII century in the back of the Igreja de Santa Maria, in the charming walled city of Óbidos, Portugal.
The museum features a collection of oil-paintings of the XVI and XVII centuries, mostly by Josefa de Óbidos and André Reinoso. The most famous painting is the portrait of Faustino Das Neves, by Josefa de Óbidos in 1670, relevant due to its chiaroscuro.
