The cemetery at the Faro Jewish Heritage Museum constitutes the first evidence of Jewish presence in the region after the Portuguese Inquisition. Currently, it features 76 beautifully-carved headstones in marble and its own museum, as well as the recreation of a synagogue (wedding included!).
It’s located in the north of Faro, close to the Hospital.
Over-the-phone reservations are advised before visiting the museum.
From 9:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 17:00.
