The profile of this area of coast in Lagoa, Algarve, forms a kind of narrow “V,” with the interior featuring a small but welcoming sandy area surrounded by walls with ochre tones.
Access to the Praia do Carvalho Beach is made through a tunnel excavated in the rock where vast amounts of fossils can be seen. The tunnel, in the very cliff, is manmade and features several porticos, and even has space for a bar, .
The canyon before the beach is truly lush and many vegetable species can be spotted: juniperus, pistacia, or the only palm native to Europe.
