The Castelo de Veiros Castle is one of the Medieval fortifications which still survive in Alto Alentejo, Portugal.
This fortress raises from a dominant position on a steep hill and is flanked by circular turrets and several Medieval tower.
During the Middle Ages, it was part of the defense made up by the castles of Monforte, Campo Maior and Ouguela.
During the Guerra da Restauração (Restoration War), in 1622, the Marquis of Caracena destroyed the keep.
