The Sete Montes National Forest, also known as Cerca do Convento, is a small forest surrounded by walls that was founded by the Order of Christ. The forest later belonged to the Knights Templar.
Nowadays, this is a true lung for the city of Tomar and an idyllic place to walk and discovering secret spots such as a “Charolina”, a miniature temple in Romanic style.
This place is full of charming gardens, lagoons in a Renaissance style, fountains, etc.
