Almancil is a small town in the municipality of Loulé, located in Algarve, southern Portugal. Only 13 kilometres away from Faro.
Despite its small size, the town does feature historical details, constructions of relevance, and a very charming and welcoming setting.
This town is well-known because of its proximity to Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago beaches.
One of the most visited spots of Almancil is the Igreja de São Lourenço, which features a white façade and is decorated in part with brownish stone and tile panels in the front. It’s also worth walking around its historic centre, quiet streets, and houses from different style-periods.
