Praia da Quinta do Lago beach is located next to a tourist resort of great quality located in the very Ría Formosa Natural Park, in Algarve, Portugal.
Its location is wonderful for birds spotting. In the surrounding area there is an interesting path going through the São Lourenço observatory, from where you will see species such as royal duck, eurasian coot, or purple swamphen, as well as a greatly diversified flora.
The dune is well preserved and hosts a variety of flora.
Access to this beach is through a wooden bridge elevated over the mouth of the river, offering splendid views over the lime banks and shellfish gatherers working.
