It this beach the typical reddish crags from Algarve are interrupted to let the last part of Ribeira do Almargem reach the sea. At times, this frequent seabirds shelter gives the feeling to be a quiet water-mirror.
In here is possible to observe how seabirds such as cormorants or grey herons dip into the water to fish.
The sandy area of this beach is calmed compared to other Quarteira beaches. On it dunes and a vegetation made of reeds and rushes get mixed.
Next to it a small lagoon surrounded by a pines and cork oaks appears. From there you will enjoy a great amount of typical Algarvian plants.
