The Casa do Infante House is a medieval construction dating back to 1394, located on the other side of the Douro River, on the Ribeira area of Porto.
This house was named after Henrique the Sailor, who was born in here on the same year of its construction. Years later, this house was turned into the first customs house in Porto.
Nowadays this house has three floors where many exhibition about the custom’s different activities are held, as well as an exhibition about tiles and roman cements which were discovered here during an archaeological intervention in 2002.
