The Torre dos Clérigos Tower is one of the most important and recommended buildings in Porto. It was built between 1735 and 1748 and it’s composed by a 76-metres-high tower from where you will have panoramic views over the whole city.
Its building is Baroque-in-style and was designed by the Italian architect Nicolau Nosoni.
To reach the peak, from where you will enjoy of beautiful views, you should climb a 225-steps spiral staircase. While climbing the tower you’ll see its 49 bells which compose a unique concert belfry.
You shouldn’t miss visiting this spot on your trip to Porto.
