The Museu Soares dos Reis National Museum is located in the Carrancas Palace, very close to the Jardim da Cordoaria Garden, in the beautiful town of Porto.
It’s the best art museum in Porto, and one of the best in the city.
It hosts one of the biggests and most exhaustive collections of art of the city. Its work dates back to the 19th century, featuring sculptures by António Soares deos Reis and António Teixeira Lopes, as well as paintings by Naturalists Henrique Pousão and António Silva Porto.
In Neoclassic style, the palace where it is located was used as a private residence up until the 17th century, housing illustrious figures such as Don Pedro IV or General Scout.

Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00: free admission.

Closed on Mondays, on January 1st, Easter, May 1st, and December 25th.
