The Jardim Botânico de Coímbra (Coímbra Botanic Garden) is a quiet place, ideal for walking and relaxing at the shadow of the São Sebastião Aqueduct (16th century).
These gardens were founded by the Pombal Marquis in 1773, and are complemented by beautiful paths and elegant fountains.
It is also possible to visit the exuberant greenhouses and the adjacent Botanic Museum.
