The Sub Ripas Palace, built in the 16th century over a tower of the wall, counts with a magnificent Manueline entrance. Its Renaissance windows and the stone ornaments are a work of Jean de Rouen, whose workshop was set up near here.
A little bit further raises the Anto Tower, which is another element which was once part of the city walls.
The street goes under a wing of the Casa do Arco (Arch House).
