The Santa Cruz Park, better known and Sereia Garden or Mermaid Garden, was part of the Santa Cruz Monastery and dates from the 18th century.
To enter these gardens, you have to go through the triumphal arch, crowned by three statues which symbolize Faith, Hope and Charity, and flanked by two turrets with Baroque ornamentation.
From this park stand out places such as Nogal Fountain, with has a statue representing a Triton opening his mouth in front of a dolphin; and the area destined for ball games, which has as background a beautiful waterfall.
