Cuba is a fascinating town and municipality, located only 18 kilometres away from the city of Beja, in Alentejo, Portugal.
Among the 12 churches this town used to have, stands out the Igreja Matriz (16th century), which belonged to the Convento dos Frades de S. Vicente de Fora Convent (Lisbon), and the Igreja de São Sebastião Church and the Nossa Senhora da Rocha.
The Palácio do Infante D. Luís Palace, duke of Beja, ended up being the Convento do Carmo Convent, which currently is a hospital.
In this town you can also visit the Templo de Santo António Temple and the Museu de Arte Sacra da Misericórdia Museum, both located in villa Alva; as well as the Roman bridge of 26 archs or the fascinating Insectzoo in the city of villa Ruiva.
