The de São Cucufate Roman villa was accidentally discovered during a digging in the Villa de Frades, close toVidigueira, in the region of Aletejo, Portugal.
It is one of the ruins of an old Roman villa from the 4th century.
The interest of this place lies on its two roof constructions, made of brick and stone, in which the top roof is held by a vaulted gallery, something unusual in the Iberian Peninsula.
The combination also includes interesting Roman baths.
