The quiet Praia do Telheiro Beach is protected from the cold north winds. This is a half-desert beach, due to its difficult accesses and long pedestrian path that reach to the beach itself.
The beach is surrounded by farming and grazing areas, where birds of prey, especially falcons, are common.
This is the last western beach before the São Vicente Cape. It will fascinate you with its unique beautiful rock formation.
Access from Sagres is not signaled, but can be done along a paved road towards Cabo de São Vicente cape (EN 268) and then, towards Torre de Asta. After around five kilometres, this paved way, will become unpaved for a couple kilometers until you reach the parking.
