The Museu da Tapeçaria de Portalegre Guy Fino (Tapestry Museum) is one of the most interesting places in Norte Alentejo region. It opened in 2001 and features magnificent contemporary pieces by the Tapestry Factory of Portalegre. The museum is divided in two nuclei.
The first is focused in the history of tapestry production in Portugal and the technical processes.
The second exhibits tapestries from Portalegre in a chronological manner from the 1940s onwards. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and features a small auditorium.
