The Centro Interpretativo do Mundo Rural (Interpretation Centre for the Rural World) is located in the hamlet of Arraiolos, well-known for its carpets and rugs.
The purpose of this ethnographic museum is to promote the Alentejo’s cultural identity, as well as its heritage and rural environment.
This museum is adapted for people with reduced mobility and has a shop. Also, temporary exhibitions are shown in here as well as free guided tours in Portuguese by appointment.
