The Palace of Dom Manuel, well-known also as Galeria das Damas, is located in the present-day Public Garden of Évora, in the South of the Igreja de São Francisco Church. It is an elegant pavilion from the 16th century, the only survivor of the formerly 19th-century destroyed Paço Real de Évora Palace.
Several elements of Moorish influences can be seen on it, as well as Manueline Naturalistic decoration and Roman-influenced in style details. All this makes up a large and bright building where several cultural events take place.
Also, the Public Garden, where an open-air cafe is located, is an ideal place to have a quiet and relaxing walk.
