Founded in 1452 by the Archbishop Vasco Perdigão, the Convent of Santa Clara is located in the historical city of Évora, in the Alto Alentejo, Portugal.
Here Princess D. Joana was locked up. Daughter of the king Henrique IV de Castela, she was married to D. Afonso V, the African, following the Order of Saint Francisco.
On its interior stand out Pre-and-Protobaroque murals located on the vault of the church.
