The Igreja de São Pedro Church is located in the city of Funchal, in the island of Madeira. Its construction was ordered in 1590, although unfinished until 1743, when the Altar do Santíssimo was installed.
Its interior is almost completely covered with 17th century tiles in the walls of the nave, the main chapel and the sacristy. The golden carved altars of the late 17th century stand out among other elements. The decorations are furniture and paintings from between the 17th and 20th centuries.
