The City Museum is situated in Campo Grande, in the Pimienta Palace, an old country manor built in the middle of the XVIII century.
It has a large collection in which are included some pieces of picture, azulejos (glazed tiles), engravings, sculpture, manuscripts, ceramics, painting, etc. Showing the evolution of since prehistory until the beginning of the XX century.
