The National Archaeology Museum, founded in 1893, contains an important ethnographic collection, together with valuable exhibits documenting Portugal’s archaeological riches.
In addition to ceramics, glass, mosaic and sculptures, the Museum houses a rich collection of antique gold ware, dating from the Copper Age to the Roman period.
