Museum is organised around two collections:

Collection alluding to the portuguese presence in Asia:

Portugal was the first European country to reach the Far East and over various centuries played a pioneering role in the globalisation resulting from the discoveries. This collection pays testimony to the contact and exchange of influences between Asian and Western cultures, and includes paintings, ceramics, textiles, and works from other decorative arts.

Kwok ON Collection:

This collection òers an unrivalled testimony to popular performing arts and major mythologies and religions from throughout asia.
